Twitter Toni Duggan celebrated her 18 birthday by scoring the opening goal in England’s 2009 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship final win against Sweden in Belarus. Since then, Duggan has gone onto play with Manchester City, signing with them in 2013. This past year she signed to play FC Barcelona Femení.

2008 Olympic Player Jessica Landstrom

Facebook Jessica Landstrom entered the international soccer scene at the 2007 World Cup. Landstorm went on to play for Sweden’s women’s national football team at the 2008 Olympic Football Tournament. Other notable events for Landstorm include playing in the 2009 UEFA Women’s Championship and the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Gold Medalist Sydney Leroux

Twitter Candian-born, Sydney Leroux Dwyer was the youngest goal-scoring member of the United States Olympic gold medal-winning team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. French Defender Laure Boulleau

Instagram Sweeden’s Kosovare Asllani began her soccer career at 15, playing for the second division team Vimmerby IF. Kosovare quickly established herself as a soccer prodigy during her time at Vimmerby, scoring 49 goals in 48 matches. She currently plays for Damallsvenskan club Linköpings FC and the Sweden national team.

Canada’s Kaylyn Kyle

Twitter Kaylyn Kyle last played as a midfielder for the Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League. Kyle is also a member of Canada women’s national soccer team and during the 2012 Summer Olympics, she brought home a bronze medal. 2015 Catalan Player of the Year Alexia Putellas

Putellas has helped Barcelona win three League titles and two Spanish cups, while also competing in the Champions League. Currently, Putellas is playing in female Primera División for FC Barcelona.

Australia’s Stephanie Catley

Instagram Australian-born Stephanie Catley currently plays for Melbourne City on and for the Australian women’s national team. In 2015 Catley appeared on the cover of the Australian edition of FIFA 16, alongside global cover star Lionel Messi and Tim Cahill, making her one of the first women to be featured on the cover of an EA Sports video game.

Hope Solo, one of the World’s Greatest Goalies

Canada’s Jonelle Filigno

Germany’s Julia Simic

“Noukie” AKA Anouk Hoogendijk

Instagram Nicknamed “Noukie,” Anouk Hoogendijk is a Dutch professional player who plays for Ajax and has professionally represented her country over 100 times. Hoogendijk represented her country at one FIFA Women’s World Cup and two UEFA Women’s Euro tournaments. In 2011, she played for Bristol Academy Women in the inaugural 2011 FA WSL campaign.

Native Canadian Adriana Leon
